Just recently, Grimoire declared their second mini-album, called Psychomachia (プシュコマキア), coming in two editions, to be released on April 11! As of now, there is no preview or album artwork yet, but it is confirmed that each version will contain seven tracks and a music video.
The band picked a rather unusual, less-known word for a title. According to Oxford Dictionaries, Psychomachia refers to a “conflict within the soul”. An interesting aspect is words like “lust”, “greed”, “pride”, and names of mythological demons scrawled on the background of each member’s artist photo.
Now let’s take a closer look at their new outfits: The main motif seems to be red and black and as always, vocalist RyNK is wearing a blindfold, this time with red tears streaming down his cheeks beneath it. While RyNK is all wrapped up in black, the other members have blond hair and their usual animal-features like horns and wolf ears. The band keeps up their dreamy theme of scribbled stars all around them, except that this time, they are also bloody red.
Seeing this new, dark look, we are excited as to what their next album will sound like! Check out Grimoire’s new artist photos below and feel free to comment!
