In contrast to amazarashi’s usual work of disheartening songs, or something like “their most depressing album“, the latest single Singin’ to the Sky (Sora ni Utaeba) brings out every remaining grain of hope in the world that front-man Hiromu Akita’s was able to find within himself. The reason for this change of pace is due to their collaboration with one of the most popular anime out right now, My Hero Academia. A story about a child who is born powerless but still strives to become a hero in a world where super powers are ubiquitous to the human race.

Inevitable Inevitable The future is determined So rebel it

In Singin’ to the Sky, the emotions of determination and hope dominates the entire four-minute song in a music video filled with bright and vivid colors. It follows the concept of the name of the title track Singin’ to the Sky, where the singing voice manifests into lyrics in the blue sky.

The singing voice turns into the threads of light and it draws the lyrics in the sky.

As we have come to accustom with amazarashi’s work, English subtitle for the lyrics are of course also available, so don’t forget to toggle on the “CC”-button while watching it!

amazarashi’s single Singin’ to the Sky is available for purchase on September 6.
