Rock ‘n roll band climbgrow will be releasing their first mini-album EL-DORADO (エルドラド) on July 19. This band, which is from Otsu-shi, Japan is formed of four members; vocalist and guitarist Taisei Sugino (杉野泰誠), guitarist Kazushi Kondo (近藤和嗣), bassist Jinta Tanaka (田中仁太), and drummer Motomu Taniguchi (谷口宗夢). Formed in 2012, they were awarded the semi-Grand Prix award at the “Akira Riot” which is a limited audition for teenagers two years after their formation. In 2015, they released their first nationwide distribution mini-album titled Enter Here.
The raspy voice of Taisei Sugino offers raw energy, which the band describes as bringing on a sympathetic and emotional vibe to create their sound. The lyrics aim to bring out the essence of humanity and emotions, using technical sounds to create an overwhelming atmosphere. The band name “climbgrow” is a coined word meaning “climber” which combines the two words “climb” and “grow”.
Coming back to the title of the mini-album, according to Wikipedia, “The legends surrounding El Dorado changed over time, as it went from being a man, to a city, to a kingdom, and then finally an empire.” We’ve always thought El Dorado was just a place, so we thought readers may also like to learn about this! This release has not yet had it’s full track list announced, but they have release the music video for Rasgano (ラスガノ) which will be on EL-DORADO:
