ELYSION just released their first album, APOTHEOSIS, on April 5, and today (May 11), a very upsetting message announcing their forthcoming disbandment was made. None of the band members named a specific reason for the decision, however, they did express their deepest gratitude and sincerely apologized to their fans in comments posted on their website. Both guitarist LIRA and bassist MISOGI also commented that ELYSION will be their last band.

So, as it stands, there’s no chance of reformation under a new name. But, we’re hopeful that vocalist BIDOH and drummer ZAKI will return to the scene sometime in the future. Fingers crossed!

In the meanwhile, if you wish to see them live you’ll have several chances to do so. They have several dates lined up in their live schedule, including their second one-man live, PHANTOM FRONTIER ~Shinmetsu naru Kokuin~ (〜心滅なる刻印〜), on June 19. Their final live performance will take place on August 28 at the same venue where their journey began in 2015, at Shibuya REX. We’ve gathered up the dates and venues below, but there’s much more information to be found on their website.
