Thirty years ago, downtown NYC silversmith Alex Streeter was asked to create jewelry for the 1987 psychological thriller Angel Heart, directed by Alan Parker starring Robert DeNiro, Mickey Rourke, Charlotte Rampling and Lisa Bonet. Like the film that inspired it, Streeter’s signature Angel Heart Ring would go on to become a cult classic, worn by musicians, artists and fashionistas all over the world. The ring features a pentagram, held in place by two ram’s heads. Over a span of 30 years, the ring has been collected in 27 countries and worn by rockers such as Marilyn Manson and Jesse Hughes (Eagles of Death Metal), as well as Jrock stars like Hyde (L’Arc en Ciel), Satsuki (Rentrer en Soi), and Inoran (Luna Sea).

Alex Streeter began crafting jewelry 50 years ago in the Haight/Ashbury district of San Francisco at the height of the Summer of Love. In the early 1970s he opened the first jewelry store in New York’s Soho district, back when it was still an industrial neighborhood nicknamed “Hell’s Hundred Acres.”

It was the Angel Heart Ring, however, that truly launched Streeter’s designs into the star-studded stratosphere. The pagan design has grown to become popular as a talisman of good luck.

“I feel I’ve been surrounded by Magick throughout my life, and for better or worse it has guided my every step. It was fate that brought me the Angel Heart Ring, and now I feel lucky to be able to pass that blessing onwards.” – Alex Streeter

In honor of its 30th Anniversary, Alex Streeter has created a stamped, limited collector’s edition of his signature Angel Heart Ring. It is a thicker version of the current setting, complete with limited edition details, including the trademark Alex Streeter logo and “XXX” stamping on the inner ring. This Limited Edition setting will only be available through March 6th, 2018 and can be purchased on his website.
