We have a lot of news to share regarding the band DEZERT today! First off, the band has released a new music video titled Hentai (変態) extracted from their new compilation album titled Kanzen Ongen Shu – Zantei Teki Occult Shukanshi (2) (完売音源集-暫定的オカルト週刊誌②-) coming out on November 23!
In the music video, we can see the band performing, wearing informal clothes in a warehouse while the cat gets playful with vocalist Chiaki. In regards to the song, they seem to be exploring new sounds, yet not abandoning their roots at all, as their heavy rhythms and Chiaki’s characteristic screaming is still there. DEZERT’s new look!
Kanzen Ongen Shu – Zantei Teki Occult Shukanshi (2) will be their second collection of the band’s rare songs, this is live-distributed and live-limited songs. This compilation will be available at general stores this time, unlike their first compilation album, only on sale at live venues. Their newest live-limited song Ohayou (おはよう) will not be included on the album, however, we will see new songs from DEZERT included in the final tracklist!
By the way, have you checked Ryo’s cover of DEZERT’s Ohayou? The former Girugamesh drummer has also taken part in DEZERT’s newest compositions by mixing and mastering the band’s new songs Hentai (変態) and Ghost, both included in this album!
The band has also revealed a short trailer with some footage from the DVD included in the limited edition of the album that sounds very impressive, featuring scenes from their tour final at ZEPP TOKYO celebrated on June 5 this year. Watch it below:
And more news! DEZERT will hold a special event titled This Is The “FACT” on January 29, at Shinkiba Studio COAST bringing together bands such as Arlequin (アルルカン), A9, LM.C, MUCC and Nocturnal Bloodlust under one roof!
On a closer date, the band will embark on a three-stop live tour with legendary bands D’ERLANGER and cali≠gari titled D’ER≠gari 2016 feat.DEZERT. It seems that DEZERT is getting very popular! This will also be a very interesting occasion to see three bands from different generations playing together. Check the dates and venues below:
