Introducing Amanjaku, a new band who are injecting a new lease of life into visual kei

Amanjaku (アマンジャク) is a fairly new visual-kei band on the block who debuted recently this year in May. Equipped in buckled PVC waistcoats and strapped from the shoulders down in belts, we were pleasantly surprised that this band is formed of five members, the remnants of a group from a short-project which started in November 2015 who called themselves Kikenbunshi (危険分子).

The line-up are as follows:

Vocalist Annie (アニィ) ex-angry dolls as hotaru
Guitarist Toui (斗唯) ex-7even’∽Resist, ASTRAY and BASH! as taiga
Guitarist Kazuma (和真) ex-Juliette and EAT YOU ALIVE as shouya
Bassist Hajime (一) ex-carat as shiro
Drummer Taku (拓) ex-2nd Dyz, BASH!

On June 29, they released their first live limited mini album Hankotsu Sanka (反骨賛歌), and their sound is mixture of the heavy guitar and drums laced with almost feline-like vocals. Check out the sample for it below, and also the promotional cut from their newer release titled Girai which is due to be released on October 5.

Keeping the momentum up is always difficult at the beginning for any band, but we hope Amanjaku will be sticking around for a while as we have enjoyed the tracks they have released.
