Aimer, chelly from EGOIST and Sawano Hiroyuki collaborates in producing music for anime Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress

Recent announcements revealed that the three talented acts, Aimer, EGOIST, and Sawano Hiroyuki will be partaking in creating music for the upcoming action fantasy anime “Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress“, airing this spring!

Two of the utmost beautiful voices owned by Aimer, and chelly from EGOIST, collaborates in an upcoming passionate single ninelie, composed by Sawano Hiroyuki. ninelie accommodates the anime series “Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress”, and will be used as the ending theme song, then hit shelves on May 11. While the group EGOIST itself will take part in creating music for the opening sequence, with the single titled Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, named after the anime, to release on May 25.

The talented soundtrack composer Sawano Hiroyuki will leave another mark by releasing the soundtrack album that will be used throughout the entire anime, out in stores May 18.

Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress is an original anime project, a series that takes place during the industrial revolution, where a monster appears who cannot be defeated unless its heart is pierced. However, this cannot be easily done as the monster is well protected by a layer of iron, and is able to infect humans with its bite to create an army of undead.

Like Attack on Titan, they both share a similar feel with its steampunk themed equipment, and timeline, as well as sharing the plot of killing evil monsters. This is not surprising considering the team behind Attack on Titan was responsible of creating this original anime.

If you’ve been somewhat active watching anime in the recent years, we’re sure the aforementioned artist names rung a few bells around. Aimer’s music can be found in a handfull of anime, such as Bleach, Fate/stay night, Gundam Unicorn, Zankyou no Terror and more. EGOIST (also known as “supercell”) has their music shattered throughout popular anime as well, like Guilty Crown, Psycho Pass and the three Project Itoh movies. As for Sawano Hiroyuki, he has composed for over 20 anime, including Attack on Titan, Kill la Kill etc.
