AN CAFE Creates a Splash with Their Major Debut Single “Sennen DIVE!!!!!”

After 12 long years in the visual kei scene, AN CAFE have finally taken the next big step forward by joining a major record label! They are the first group to be signed to White café, a sub label of Being.Inc. The announcement of their move sprang up on April first this year and, one milestone marker for AN CAFE’s major debut, Sennen DIVE!!!!!, was released last month on August 26.

Admittedly, this band sort of dropped off my radar over the years, but since listening to Sennen DIVE!!!!!, it’s rekindle my interest in them. I love their refreshed look and how well they’ve captured the theme of this fun, energetic, summer song. The lyrics were written by Ohguro Maki, and the music was composed by Tokunaga Akihito of doa. It was also produced by Hiraide Satoru, who has worked with artists including sads and UVERworld.

The single is available in eight editions, five of which were designed by the corresponding members. The regular edition includes a re-recorded version of Smile Ichiban Ii Onna, while the limited edition is all new material with a DVD for the music video, and a band interview. The final edition is the Musing edition that includes an A4 sized photobook and other goodies. It’s only available through Musing, but CDJapan’s special request service can order it in for you. So it’s not impossible to purchase it, however it’ll cost 8048 yen plus the shipping.

And, here’s AN CAFE’s current look that shows the band looking bright and invigorated. I like how the matching uniforms unite the members, yet each of them look unique to one another.
